Food And What It Is

We have so many issues with food nowadays that it's hard to pin point out whats wrong and right. Sure corporations such as industrilized farming have no morals or ethics with how they make there food, but if you really dive deep into the picture, than you'll realize that not everything about it is one hundred percent. The same goes with methods such as Organic Farming. Although organic farming may seem like it's good because it produces natural substances, in the end we don't know for sure how they make it, and one can surely predict a dark secret that is very likely to be true.

Martin Luther King

I'm pretty sure that Martin Luther King directed his letter to people such as priests, government, and the council. His letter has many underlining messages, however, one that I found quite intriguing was the idea with how wrong the council was. Practically everything that Martin Luther King said to them about being racist and paranoid was true. The council cannot deny any of his points because each one that is made gives perfect examples with events such as Jesus Christ being crucified or Ghandi and his people being brutally injured just for standing up for what they believe in. Everything that Martin King says represents purity because he is acting humble, optimistic, and looking at both sides of the situation.

Technology

Recently I have shown my opinion on technology and if you haven't already noticed, it seems to be quite on the negative side. I want everyone to know that I'm not against technology, well, at least not one hundred percent. I do think that such inventions like cellphone or laptop have been quite beneficial and I enjoy using both of them. I do think that many people spend to much time on technology (however I'm not going to go to deep into it because that is not my primary focus on this blog. As stated before my focus is to talk about all the good things that technology has to offer)

The internet is neat because of all the convienant ways you can use to contact people. Sites such as Yahoo, aol, facebook, I want that e.t.c have made it so easy to communicate to people that it truly is amazing. Contacting with people in different cities, states, or countries feels good, especially when you don't have to pay at all. Before the internet was around I'm sure that it was far more difficult to contact people and also it most likely required money (depending on where the person you where trying to reach was at, I would think that in some cases the farther the person was the more money you had to pay).

Inventions such as the calculator or Microsoft word are also great aspects towards the beneficial sides of technology. The fact that those types of tools can fix any problem within a second is very nice. I feel very happy to live in an era where inventions can save so much time and stress with solving a certain problem. To be honest if we didn't have the calculator or Microsoft word than I think that we may be less educated with our spelling and also more stressed out when we try to solve a math problem (can you imagine all the hours it took to write down some calculus problem back when they didn't have any? I'm sure just the thought is a headache).

There are good things towards technology and I think that without some of it than our society would be less capable to be sophisticated with how we handle certain obstacles. Technology is something that we should use to progress are ourselves into the future, but I wouldn't rely on it for entertainment, because in the end there are so many more things that can enrich you in multiple ways.

Technology

In my own opinion technology such as facebook or google can be seen as both a positive and negative aspect. I look at things as shades of grey rather than black or white, so to me , I can see both the good and bad in that sort of technology.

One great thing about facebook is that it keeps you in touch with everyone. Socialising is apart of our nature, well at least most of ours, and facebook makes it's way as the perfect tool because whenever you feel bored than you can alway talk to someone. It's great for getting attention because you can make posts with how you feel and/or comment people over their posts. There's all sorts of discussions that go on in facebook and you'll find some of them quite exciting if you join in on them. Another good thing about this type of social networking is that it helps keep you connected with your job. Millions of jobs world wide use facebook as a source of communication because it's fairly easy to use and free!

Jerry Brown

Dear Jerry Brown

I think that you and everyone else that is with you needs to change a few things around here. I'm not trying to say that your doing a terrible job, however, I know as a fact that there are some bad things that are crippling many students at the moment. Even though we are having troubles right now, I still believe that you can fix it because not every governor is perfect; everyone has their flaws, so people shouldn't get to overwhelmed by it. With what being said I hope that you're able to change things, and what I mean by that is to not only do it in a fast pace, but also, fixing it so well that there is hardly anything to complain about. I wish you the best of luck and hope all goes well.

Sincerely
Christian

Quality Education And what It means To Have One

In my opinion, I would think that all students have the right to be taught quality education because gaining knowledge to me is something that I believe should be a privilege among everyone. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to be challenged and learn something that will benefit them in the future. To me, if your taking that sort of value away from someone, than you're limiting there rights to make something of themselves and preventing from being successful to their full potential. Success is one of the assets to living a happy and fulfilling life, and one of the ways that a person is guaranteed a life like that is if they are indulged to a quality education. Now, I can understand why people may disagree with me or say that not all students should have the opportunity to experience a quality education because I know as a fact that you have to be serious in order to embrace a privilege such as this. If your not serious about it than the whole value itself isn't present among the student, and if the student doesn't find any value with in it than he/she will most likely lose interest in wanting to learn more. I guess it all depends on how committed you're as a learner as well as what it is you expect to gain from a quality education. Unfortunately  I don't know what urban city schools do when they don't have money to pay good teachers and have low test scores. I would think that the students don't become successful. However them not being successful isn't necessarily their fault. The fact that inner city schools lack money makes it a huge problem, because if you don't have money than you have limited options as to how students can be taught. I think that overall schools that are in situations like that do the best they can with what they got, and even though it isn't the best, it's better to work with what they have than to do nothing about it and just let the students fail miserably. Some students push themselves and make it, regardless with what cards there dealt with.

Hey Everybody!

Hey Everybody! My name is Christian and I’m very excited to not only make my first blog but to also be apart of this whole global community. A little bit about myself, I love to hang out with friends, listen to music, watch movies, and read books (I’m an avid reader). I don’t know what my major is yet, but some of my interests are acting, creative writing, analyzing complicated subjects (you may ask what exactly it is when I mean ‘complicated subjects’ and I leave that up complety for you to decide what the meaning is). There are three things I wish to learn in this quarter, and I hope that I manage to meet each and every one of those expectations. The first goal I have is to be a better reader than what I already am now. I want to be able to read and analyze all sorts of literature. My second goal is that I want to be a better writer than what I was before. I want to be able to evaluate my own writing and try to find my weaknesses and see what I can do to improve on them.  Last but certainly not least, my third goal is that I hope to become a better listener. When the teacher or one of my classmates is talking, I want to listen carefully to what there saying and learn from them (I enjoy learning from my piers and I hope to learn from classmates in this class too). Also, I hope that I can feel confident enough to maybe add something new every time we have class/ group discussions.  This Blog can help me because I’m sure that many of you guys will notice flaws with certain things that I may post, especially with my writing. So if you guys have any points that you feel well help me than by all means share them. Constructive criticism is important.  To conclude all of this, I hope to get to know all of you and hope that this whole learning experience in this quarter will be fun for all of us!
